My goal from day 1 has been to provide the best mortgage service available in Calgary. As a former teacher, I initially thought providing superb client education would make my service the best around. I spent hundreds of hours developing an online mortgage tool to help you understand your mortgage. I soon learned that this was not nearly enough.
Today, using my “MortGauge App” on facebook, my clients often pre-qualify themselves before even contacting me. Then, they use it to submit documents, keep their realtors up-to-date, and to stay on top of their financial situations.
By automating boring and complicated tasks, I have more time to do what’s most important to me – meeting with my clients in person, and then working with lenders to get them the best terms possible.
Why I do it
When our family returned from overseas, the only thing I knew about mortgages was “We’ll never be able to borrow $400,000…” Later, our banker not only agreed, but actually declined to fill out a pre-approval application for our family! Luckily, our realtor put us in touch with a mortgage broker. Because of her hard work, we moved into our own home just 3 months after the meeting with our banker. I’ll never forget the feeling in our home when we heard the words “you’re approved”. Today, I get to relive that day all over again every time I have the pleasure of calling a client to tell them “You’re Approved!”
